When mounting any product, always check to make sure all parts fit properly and that the brackets are correct before drilling holes.
When running wires through a vehicle always check to make sure the wires are not in an area that they will be pinched. Grommets must be used anywhere a wire passes through metal to prevent from rubbing the insulation off. Always fuse all wires properly.
When installing equipment into a vehicle it is a good practice to draw up a plan or schematic that shows all the equipment being installed and it's amp draw. Be sure the fusing and the wire size is suitable for the amp draw of the product. Fuse at 125% of the max current draw for each item. Include locations of all in-line fuses or fuse blocks in the drawing. This will serve as a reference if any future work needs to be done. Contact Code 3 Technical Service with any questions.
